The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering?s alumnus, David Mongan, P.E.,F. ASCE, has been appointed to the Maryland State Board for Professional Engineers. He is also a member of the department?s Board of Visitors. Mongan received his BS and MS degrees in civil engineering from University of Maryland in ?71 and ?76 respectively. In addition to having served as president of ASCE in 2008, he recently retired as the president of Whitney, Bailey, Cox & Magnani, LLC.
