According to a Business Gazette article, the Bureau of Labor Statistics lists the state of Maryland as the leader in tech sector job growth in 2009.

Gains were made in computer systems design (5,300 jobs added, a 8.7 percent increase) and related services, and in management, scientific and technical consulting sectors (4,500 jobs added, a 13.8 percent increase). The state accounted for almost half of the computer sector jobs added nationally, according to the article.

This news follows an item reported last month by the Baltimore Business Journal that stated Washington, D.C., was the easiest spot to find a job, followed by Baltimore which came in third.
