On November 14nd, 2008, the second Trans-Atlantic Infraday (TAI) Conference on Applied Infrastructure Modeling and Policy Analysis will take place at Resources for the Future in Washington, DC. Prof. Steven Gabriel is the general chair and is joined by Prof. Dr. Christian von Hirschhausen (co-chair), from Technische Universität Dresden, Germany . The objective of the conference is to identify similarities and differences between various networked industries: energy, transportation, telecommunication, and water as well as draw comparisons between North American and European experiences in research in this area with particular emphasis on the engineering-economic connection.
