Deborah Goodings joins the Ontario Centre for Engineering and Public Policy Conference in Toronto on May 8, to lecture on the proactive role engineers must take in public policy associated with climate change effects. Since warming effects are predicted to be greatest in northern latitudes, status quo engineering design is not an option in Canada.

Dr. Goodings will join other Canadian engineers and Ontario government ministers discussing engineering and public policy in a forum addressing critical issues of water quality, energy development, climate change, and public policy education.
