Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering Professor Bilal Ayyub spoke at the Engineering Triennial Summit in Westminster, London on Dec. 9 and 10.

The event was hosted by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the Canadian Society of Civil Engineering. As an invited ASCE delegate, Ayyub presented on interoperability and resilience.

Director of the Center for Technology and Systems Management, Ayyub’s main research interests include risk, uncertainty and decision analysis, and systems engineering applied to infrastructure, energy, defense and maritime fields. He is a fellow of ASCE, ASME, SNAME, and SRA.

The Triennial Summit leverages the combined expertise of 300,000 members on resilience and growth for the world’s future cities.
