On March 19, Prof. Skibniewski was informed of his election to the membership in Poland's National Academy of Engineering. Following nomination by its Membership Committee, the Academy's General Assembly voted unanimously to admit Skibniewski as a member for his leadership and contributions in the field of construction engineering, and for his sustained service as editor of international scholarly journals in civil engineering and construction.
