A. James Clark Endowed Chair Professor of Construction Engineering and Project Management Miroslaw Skibniewski will become the founding dean of engineering at Khalifa University of Science Technology and Research August 1.

Prior to joining the Clark School's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Skibniewski worked for 20 years as a professor and senior administrator of Purdue University at West Lafayette, Ind. He received his Master of Engineering degree from Warsaw University of Technology and his Master of Science and PhD degrees from Carnegie Mellon University.
