CEE's Dr. Ed Link was quoted in the USA Today on October 29, 2007. The article titled, "Experts toss more variables into new flood model" discusses the lessons learned from studying the levees and flood control systems in Louisiana after the Hurricane Katrina. "We're getting a much more scientifically accurate projection of the future hazard to New Orleans and the entire Gulf of Mexico," says Ed Link, a University of Maryland engineering professor who helped direct the study.
